Aaron Minter Transfers to St. Monica Catholic After Standout Career at Venice

Minter brings an impressive resume to St. Monica Catholic.

Aaron Minter heads to St. Monica Catholic after putting together an impressive three-year varsity career at Venice High School. Over three seasons, the Class of 2027 wide receiver totaled 125 receptions for 1,732 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, while adding 408 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, and 2,757 all-purpose yards.

Minter closed out his time with the Gondoliers with a standout 2025 season, hauling in 58 receptions for 836 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added 293 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, a passing touchdown, and 1,383 all-purpose yards. He finished his junior season as one of the more productive wide receivers in the Los Angeles City Section.

One of Minter's best games came against Palisades, where he exploded for a career-high 248 receiving yards and two touchdowns in a 56-54 victory. He also recorded a 62-yard reception, highlighting his ability to stretch the field and create explosive plays.

Minter has since transferred to St. Monica Catholic High School, where he will play his final high school season. He said the passing of his head coach and the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Venice program ultimately influenced his decision to move on.

"With the passing of my coach, I didn't know what direction the team was going, so that is what made me consider going somewhere else," Minter said.

As he prepares for his final high school season, Minter remains focused on accomplishing the goal he's had since he first stepped onto a football field.

"I've been playing football since I was about six years old, and I've always had dreams and aspirations of making it to the NFL. My relationship with God and Jesus Christ has kept me humble and grounded. He's the reason for my accomplishments and success, and that's why I'm so confident I'll make it. All I can say is... stay tuned!" Minter said.

On film, Minter displays natural ball-tracking ability and consistently locates the football down the field. He made several impressive diving receptions and shows the concentration to finish difficult catches. He consistently comes down with the football in traffic and when defenders are in tight coverage. Venice also utilized him in the Wildcat formation, allowing his athleticism to create plays with the ball in his hands. Minter remains unranked by the major recruiting sites, making him an underrated prospect to watch entering his final high school season at St. Monica Catholic.
