One of the biggest hurdles every recruit faces is earning that first college offer. Once it comes, the recruiting process often takes on a life of its own. For Sithri Fainuulelei, that milestone arrived when Lewis & Clark College became the first program to extend an offer.

The offer came from Chance Hansen, who discovered Fainuulelei after evaluating his highlight film on X.

"Coach Chance Hansen offered me after watching my film on Twitter," Fainuulelei said.

Fainuulelei said the coaching staff pointed to a combination of his academics and highlight film as the reasons behind the offer.

"They liked my grades and my highlight film," he said.

While the relationship is still in its early stages, Fainuulelei said the Lewis & Clark staff wasted little time reaching out after evaluating his film.

As he begins to learn more about the program, Fainuulelei said the biggest takeaway is simply earning that first opportunity to play at the next level.

"What excites me most is that it's my first offer," he said. "It seems like a great school."

With his first offer now in hand, Fainuulelei has officially taken the next step in his recruiting journey and will look to build on the momentum as more programs continue their evaluations.
